The Humane Society of the United States will present “Celebrating Animals/Confronting Cruelty Miami” on Friday, March 27, 2015, to honor the work of The HSUS Animal Rescue Team and the South Florida Wildlife Center, which serves the tri-county area of Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade, and admits more than 12,000 injured, orphaned or imperiled wildlife annually.
The black-tie gala will be held at the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, and will honor those who advocate on behalf of animals in need.
Inspirational Honoree, actress and screenwriter Nikki Reed will be given a special presentation at the gala for speaking out against breed-specific policies in Louisiana and elsewhere.
Jeffrey Arciniaco, event chair, who is President and Board Chairman of the HSUS South Florida Wildlife Center and a Board Director of The Humane Society of the United States said: “Please join us as we celebrate our premier Miami benefit to help support the rescue, care, placement and rehoming of thousands of animals every year—across the country and in our own South Florida neighborhoods. If you love animals and want to contribute to their safety and well-being here in South Florida, you won’t miss this extraordinary event.”
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception at 7 p.m., followed by a gourmet vegan dinner at 8:30 p.m. and an award presentation. Entertainment will be provided by Nicole Henry.
The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort is located at 9703 Collins Avenue, Bal Harbour. For tickets and more information on the event, please visit www.humanesociety.org/miamigala.
