Grain and hops have been milled and harvested, the kettles are fired up and the kegs are ready to be filled. After much anticipation, one of Wynwood’s newest purveyors of the liquid arts, Concrete Beach Brewery, has begun brewing operations at its NW 24th Street craft brewery.
Back in the fall, we told you about this up-and-coming brewery joining the Wynwood beer scene.
The state-of-the-art facility, on what is being referred to by neighborhood folks as “Brewers’ Row,” is now producing two of its year-round draft beers – Rica IPA, a well-balanced, rich wheat ale, and Stiltsville Pilsner, a Miami-style Pilsner with citrus and tropical fruit notes.
More styles are in the works, as the brew team is finally unleashed to experiment, create and craft exceptional local brews, drawing from the flavors and ingredients that make Miami unique.
“The energy and culture of this city drives everything we do, and we look forward to sharing our love of craft beer with the rest of Miami,”stated Jesse Morris, Concrete Beach Social Hall Manager.
To ensure quality and consistency, the brewery features a lab, and special tanks set aside for smaller, experimental batches.
The brewery’s Social Hall, which will feature a full indoor/outdoor bar with an ever-changing lineup of Concrete Beach offerings, is expected to open in early summer 2015, pending final permitting. The Hall will also be host to a full roster of events, including live entertainment and beer education nights.
The Social Hall is not open to the public yet, but six-packs of Rica and Stiltsville are available in grocery stores throughout Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and Delray Beach.
