They say word-of-mouth is the most important type of marketing and this couldn’t hold more true for The Market Coral Gables. Your average neighborhood convenience store with an urban twist, The Market provides a healthy alternative offering customers fresh cold-pressed juices and smoothies made with locally sourced 100% organic ingredients.
I discovered this hidden gem last week when a friend mentioned delicious sandwiches she saw on Instagram. Curious, I decided to follow The Market and learned they create one special artisanal sandwich per day made on locally baked organic sourdough. Once I laid eyes on the day’s special I had to try it for myself.
Upon entering the quaint shop I was immediately greeted by owner and chef Glenn Rice (Sorry HEAT fans, not THAT Glen Rice). A naturally cool and laid-back guy, Glenn and I chatted about local eats, healthy living and his hopes of providing Miami’s best eggs benedict while I waited for my sandwich and browsed the store’s variety of bottled juices and locally-sourced products. I even got to try a lemon detox shot with his homemade apple juice to chase… and it was delicious. I was shocked to learn this marketplace has been around for two years, but recently started getting a lot of buzz on social media.
The Market provides a forward thinking shopping experience where fast “slow food” is readily accessible in a personalized service environment. Come try it out for yourself and experience one of the healthiest and delicious eateries in Miami.
