Prohibition Repeal Day

Prohibition-1

On December 5, 1933, the 21st Amendment was ratified, repealing the 18th Amendment, which banned alcohol. 82 years later, Wynwood’s Concrete Beach Brewery is celebrating the repeal of prohibition with a special beer release, a post-prohibition style lager.

Made partially with corn, this beer is hopped with the quintessential cornerstone hops of the American craft beer movement and reflects the changing tastes of drinkers after Prohibition. Staff will dress in thirties-style attire, and guests are encouraged to do the same! It’s all happening in the midst of Art Basel from noon to close on Saturday, December 5th, 2015.

Just down the street, continue your celebration of booze at Wynwood Brewing Company, who will host a featured artist for Art Basel – Ernesto Kunde. Check out his work displayed throughout the taproom and meet the artist himself on Saturday. Purple People Eatery will be on site feeding your face with those Bison Burgers and Truffle French Fries. Yes, Please!
