Feeling adventurous? The Annual Full Moon Bike Ride at Shark Valley Everglades National Park is happening on Saturday, January 23 at 3 PM.
The group will ride for 14 miles at a casual pace with the chance to see plenty of wildlife and explore the foot trails of the Everglades. The goal is to be at the observation tower before sunset, just in time for the moonrise.
Anyone physically able to complete the ride is invited to attend, including children. Here’s what you should bring:
- your bike, should have head and tail lights
- snacks, water
- bug spray
- long sleeve shirt, it may get chilly and it helps with the bugs
- buff (optional)
When you arrive, park along highway 41 in the grass. Bring your bikes onto Shark Valley Loop Rd, and meet at the alligator infested ponds on Old Tamiami Trail. RSVP on Facebook here.
