Listen up, Miami. Speak! Fridays at the Bakehouse

This Friday, June 19th, 2015, Speak! Fridays – Miami’s “most-diverse’ open mic night- invades The Bakehouse Art Complex in Wynwood for an evening of poetry, art, music, comedy, & expression.

Hosts Robert Lee & Chris Kane will welcome this month’s special musical performer- the Vacant Agent Music as well as music by Alan Meneses aka Pazmal & David Giraldo aka VLVT Jones.

Known for it’s vibrant environment where egos are left at the door, Speak! Fridays welcomes all forms of expression. This place is so hot that spoken-word artists from HBO Def Poetry and Brave New Voices regularly grace the stage.

It’s one of the few places that I know of where you see people with different ethnic, religious and political backgrounds actually hanging out in one place and having a good time. The only other place I’ve seen that kind of diversity is in court, and that’s never a good time. I think it comes from the diversity of the Speak family and the openness we try to create on stage and in our spot.
