3 Fun Things to Do on a Rainy Day in Miami

We may take our ample amounts of sunshine for granted in Miami, but next time that cool, cloudy stretch of weather arrives, embrace it and check out a different side of Miami:

1. Visit an indoor museum: Rainy days are the perfect excuse to embrace Miami’s flourishing cultural centers, such as the Perez Art Museum (PAMM).  A visit is affordable at $12 – $16 (depending on your age), but there are also plenty of opportunities to go for free. Gain free entry on Second Saturdays presented by Target and first Thursdays, when the museum stays open until 9pms, thanks to the Knight Foundation. Plus, Florida teachers and professional artists with identification receive free admission at any time. Bank of America customers can also gain entry to a variety of museums on the first full weekend of each month.

2. See a movie: We’re lucky to have amazing movie theaters all over Miami. Try one of O Cinema’s three locations in Wynwood, Miami Shores, or North Beach for thought-provoking independent films, or embrace a luxurious movie theater experience at Paragron Theaters in Coconut Grove, where you can sip on wine & craft beers, visit their restaurant, and sit in comfort of their VIP theaters.

3. Get Active Indoors: Feeling antsy spending so much time inside? Burn off that extra energy jumping on dozens of trampolines at Sky Zone in South Miami, climbing at XTreme Rock Climbing, or actively meditating at any of Miami’s dozens of yoga studios.
