Gulfstream Park and Equality Florida, an organization dedicated to securing full equality for Florida’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community, are teaming up to host “The Taste of Equality,” an exciting tasting tour of South Florida’s ultimate outdoor dining, entertainment, and shopping destination. The evening will benefit both Equality Florida and #ForThe49 Equality Forward Initiative.
This event will educate attendees about what Equality Florida is doing to bring about LGBT equality in Florida and honor those affected by the massacre at Pulse Nightclub.
Through #ForThe49 Equality Forward Initiative, Equality Florida hopes to ensure that the lasting memorial to this tragedy is real and brings meaningful change. The initiative will work to rid our culture of the toxic dehumanization of LGBTQ people and instead, build a country that welcomes, protects, and embraces diversity.
The evening will start off at Sirona Fine Art where each guest will check-in and then receive their map of participating venues and a special “The Taste of Equality” Passport Book that will get stamped by each of the participating venues in Gulfstream Park.
The culinary journey through Gulfstream Park includes: III Forks, Adena Grill & Wine Bar, Brio Tuscan Grille, Cantina Laredo, Frankey’s Sports Bar, Häagen Dazs, Il Gusto Ristorante Italiano, La Pizzeria, Mijana Lebanese Cuisine, ROK:BRGR Burger Bar + Gastropub, Williams-Sonoma and Yard House. Each guest will enjoy a sample of food and beverage from each restaurant.
The final stop will be held at Strike 10 Bowling & Lounge where the party continues with a live DJ and exciting raffle prizes.
Tickets are $35 in advance, $50 at the door. Limited availability. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.gulfstreampark.com/equality. Tickets admit guests to a pairing at any or all of the participating hosts.
