The Trapiche Room Unveils New Miami Spice Menu

August has finally arrived and Miami Spice is in full swing.   We were excited to hear that The Trapiche Room, one of last year’s top Miami Spice participants, is making its return to this year’s culinary event. Nestled away inside the JW Marriott Miami, the award-winning establishment offers guests an intimate oasis in the heart of Brickell.

Equipped with fine mahogany décor and an old-world feel, the cozy space is reminiscent of an opulent family dining room with maximum seating capacity set at 24 people.

For the 2015 Miami Spice promotion, Executive Chef Alex Paz decided to unveil a new Florida-inspired menu which features locally sourced ingredients and flavors.


“With this menu we just wanted to keep it a little more fresh, a little more local and more seasonal,” said Paz. “We want to highlight what we are able to do and remind people that Trapiche is here.”

Diners will have the option of sampling the delectable menu with lunch ($23) and dinner ($39) options. To kick-off the three course meal, try the Prosciutto Cotto with Asparagus Ribbons, Roasted Tomato, Fennel Puree and Crystalized Peppers or the Beef Tartare with Cucumber Shallot, Yolk, Micro Celery, Lemon, Olive Oil and Sea Salt. For the main course, recommended items include a mouthwatering Flat Iron Steak with King Oyster Mushrooms, Vibrant Cauliflower and Smoked Marrow or the succulent Pork Cheek Ravioli. For an innovative twist on an old-time favorite, try the Monk Fish Ossobucco. No meal is complete without dessert and Trapiche’s deconstructed Key Lime Pie is not to be missed.

Miami Spice runs from August 1 through September 30, providing ample opportunities to sample Chef Paz’s novel menu. With its stellar service, incredible wine selection and delicious fare, The Trapiche Room is the ideal spot for a special occasion, romantic evening, or just a good excuse for a great meal.
